Terms of Use

Maha MangalGath · Last updated 15 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Maha MangalGath. Creating an account means you accept them.

1. Who may use this service

2. What this service is for

This is a matrimonial service: it exists to help families and individuals find a marriage partner. It is not a dating service, a friendship service, or a place to look for casual relationships. Accounts used that way are removed without refund.

3. Your profile must be true

Age, marital status, education, profession, income, caste, community and photographs must be your own and accurate. Photographs must show you and must not be obscene, must not carry another person's likeness (a success story's photograph of you and your spouse is the one exception — see section 9), and must not contain contact details or advertising. We verify and moderate profiles, and we remove those that are false.

4. Conduct

5. Contact unlocks and payment

6. What we do not promise

We introduce members; we do not arrange marriages and we cannot guarantee a match, a response, or the outcome of any meeting. We verify what we reasonably can, but we cannot guarantee that every member is truthful. Meet with your family, meet in public, and verify documents yourself before any commitment.

7. Moderation, suspension and removal

We may remove a profile, a photograph, a success story or an account that breaks these terms, that is reported by other members, or that is required to be removed by law. Where a paid balance is lost because of a breach of these terms, it is not refunded.

8. Reporting

Every profile carries a Report and a Block control. Reports reach us immediately. For anything urgent or serious, write to support@mahamangalgath.in — our Grievance Officer replies within 15 days, as the IT Rules 2021 require. Report any concern about a child's safety the same way, or by email with the subject "Child safety"; those reports are handled first (see the Child Safety Standards).

9. Your content

Your profile and photographs remain yours. You give us permission to store them and to show them to other members of the service, and to visitors browsing the app before they sign up, for as long as your account exists. Your mobile number, email and surname are never shown to a visitor. Deleting your account ends that permission.

Success stories. If your marriage was arranged through Maha MangalGath, you may share a success story: a photograph of the two of you and your own words. Share one only with your spouse's agreement, and do not include phone numbers, email addresses or social media IDs. We read every story before it is published, and may decline or later remove one. Once published, it is shown to every member of the service. You can remove it at any time, which deletes the photograph, and deleting your account removes it too.

10. Liability

To the extent Indian law allows, our liability for any claim relating to this service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for the conduct of other members, on or off the app.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction.

12. Changes

We will tell you in the app before a material change to these terms takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
