Child Safety Standards
Maha MangalGath · Last updated 9 October 2026
Maha MangalGath is a matrimony service for adults. These standards say what we do not allow,
how to report a concern about a child, and what we do when we receive one.
1. Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation
Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) is strictly forbidden on Maha MangalGath, in profiles,
photographs, success stories, reports, and in any contact that starts through the service. CSAE
means any content or conduct that sexually exploits, abuses or endangers a child, including:
- child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind;
- grooming a child for sexual exploitation;
- sextortion of a child;
- trafficking a child for sex;
- any attempt to contact, meet or arrange a marriage with a minor.
2. Adults only
Only adults of legal marriageable age in India may use the service: 21 years for men and 18 years
for women. Every member gives a date of birth when creating a profile, and the app refuses a
profile below that age. An account found to belong to a minor, or created for a minor, is removed.
3. How to report a concern
- In the app: open the profile and use Report. Choose the
reason that fits best, or "Something else", and describe the concern. Reports reach us
immediately.
- By email: write to
support@mahamangalgath.in
with the subject "Child safety". These reports are handled first.
- If a child is in immediate danger, call the police on 112 or
Childline on 1098. Online child sexual abuse material can also be reported
to the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal,
cybercrime.gov.in.
4. What we do
- We review every child-safety report as soon as we receive it.
- When we learn of child sexual abuse material or other CSAE, we remove the content and the
account responsible, and block it from returning.
- We preserve the information the law requires and report confirmed child sexual abuse material
to the authorities in India, as the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act,
2012 and the IT Rules, 2021 require, and to the National Center for Missing & Exploited
Children (NCMEC) where appropriate.
- We cooperate with law-enforcement requests about child safety.
5. Child safety contact
Our designated point of contact for child safety, including notifications from Google Play, is
the Grievance Officer of Maha MangalGath:
support@mahamangalgath.in,
Maharashtra, India.
